Talentas has partnered with New Seasons Market (NSM), a chain of privately owned grocery stores operating in the Portland, Oregon metro area, South Western Washington, Seattle, and Northern California
Due to staffing constraints, the NSM’s essential network and applications infrastructure was monitored only during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 pm.). The cost of hiring dedicated, around-the-clock technical support would have been prohibitive, but the organization was government mandated to have 16/5 (on weekdays) & 24/2 (on weekends) uptime for their systems.
NSM partnered with Talentas to perform remote monitoring of all systems during periods of no coverage (4 p.m. to 8 a.m. Monday to Friday, and 24x2 on weekends) becoming the company's network operations center. Talentas staff provides daily reports on activities during this monitored period to ensure that daytime support staff are aware of all network activity and can demonstrate compliance with mandated monitoring protocols Talentas also provides patching services and status updates as required.
In the event of an outage or disruption during Talentas monitored hours, our support team documents and escalates the issue either to the client’s on-call support team, or our own experts as needed. Regular daytime staff at the client receive ticket reports for any issues and can log all activities that have occurred, regardless of who is providing coverage at any given time.
With extended monitoring and reporting from Talentas, NSM rarely experiences downtime and is never caught in a moment without coverage or crisis response. NSM is now able to meet their needs, and their team has the peace of mind of knowing that when they arrive into the office each morning, they are walking into a managed environment, instead of a potential disaster.
